- Welcome to ExpressCalc. The first version of ExpressCalc was 3.09. Prior
- to 3.09, ExpressCalc was distributed under a different name. No new
- features have been added to the program yet, but some minor cleanup and
- corrections have been made. The following is a brief description of the
- changes and additions made since version 3.09:
-
- 3.10 - July 12, 1986
- --------------------
- * Changed the default sort precedence for empty cells from 10 to 90.
- This causes empty cells to sort at the end instead of the beginning.
-
- * After using "/Configure,Width" to change the screen width, then
- "/Configure,Save" to save the configured parameters, the new screen
- width is now saved to the profile.
-
- * PRINTER OFFSET 0 is now allowed in a profile.
-
- * ERROR 55 AT 5690 would sometimes occur when a spreadsheet had an
- Xternal which referred to itself. Corrected.
-
- * Reading a File Express database with /Xternal or /Save now examines
- the FE data types (!, *, $, etc.) to determine if a field is a value
- or text.
-
-
- 3.11 - September 23, 1986
- --------------------------
-
- * /Xternal of File Express database would not always detect end of file
- properly, because of a bug in the Business BASIC Compiler. This has
- been circumvented.
-
- * "Expressware" was changed to "Expressware Corporation" in the banner
- screens.
-
- * If the ESC key is pressed when no data has been entered, it is ignored.
-
- * The Control-A key and Control-F key now function as alternate backtab
- and tab keys.

- Almost all the above enhancements to ExpressCalc have been suggested by
- the people who are using it. We listen to every idea that is presented to
- us. Most of them make it into a future release of the product. If you have
- any ideas or suggestions that you feel would make File Express a better
- product, please let us know. We want the program to be the best of its
- kind on the market.
-
- Thanks,
